Typical signals include AI-powered product copy, invitations to chat with an assistant, disclosure that a conversation is generated by AI, privacy notices, and public AI-policy pages. Generic mentions of “AI” or “chat” are not enough on their own.
Article 50 is not a single “label everything AI” rule. It separates informing people they are interacting with AI (unless obvious), provider marking of certain synthetic outputs, and deployer disclosures for some deepfakes and public-interest text. Exceptions apply.
